Online Christmas

COVID spreads through gatherings, and we are especially vulnerable during holidays, when we may be tempted to leave our core bubbles to visit others. We must resist this temptation, however, and instead stay safely at home this year. Even though this holiday season will be different – and difficult for many – we can take comfort in the fact that the sacrifices we make now will protect us, our loved ones, and our communities. The goal is to make sure we are all here to celebrate in-person next year. Following are some “COVID Christmas" ideas and tips: 1. Make good use of technology. Consider hosting virtual parties and religious services, unwrapping gifts over Zoom, or walking while chatting on your cell phone with people outside your bubble. 2. Help others. Prepare and drop off meals for Elders or sick people who may be alone for the holidays, while maintaining physical distancing and wearing a mask. Drop off a small bag of Christmas treats to your neighbours. 3. Christmas shop on...

HyperLink Madness

Image
Quarter 2’s lesson is all about hyperlinks, tags, codings, and many more, and all of these are all the lessons that I learned. The <a> tag  defines a hyperlink, which is used to link from one page to another. The most important attribute of the <a> element is the href attribute, which indicates the link's destination. By default, links will appear as follows in all browsers: An unvisited link is underlined and blue. Hyperlinks are the essence of the World Wide Web. Their importance is very high due to their ability to provide a visitor with a wealth of good quality information and for the role they play in the ranking of sites by modern search engines. One definite struggle for me was, because it was my first time doing hyperlinks, the tags and the codings since I don’t touch the world behind social media, and for that reason I felt lost while doing the activities that was assigned to us. I always had second thoughts whether or not assort in finding for help...

As we all know Vigan is one of the communities that holds one of the most glamorous festivals there’s the Longganisa Festival, Raniag Festival, Binatbatan Festival and many more. Festivals in Vigan are one of the best, it makes the community come as one. Bright lights, people dancing, and just having fun. Also festivals show the historical background of one community, it shows how much that community grew, how it became a community that we all know and love. But then, COVID became the biggest threat. As we all know COVID’s impact was huge, it took lives, quarantine happened meaning you need to isolate yourself to the world. People don’t even dare to go outside their home without a mask, let alone to go to a festival thriving with people, but is it still possible to hold these types of festivals? Yes, of course, festivals in my humble opinion is a tradition that needs to be done whatever the condition might be. Festivals bring the people as one, it makes their connection to one ...

2022, will it be different?

Image
What a surprise, it’s already 2022. Happy New Years!! Going back to 2021, this year was historical not because of the virus but to the halt of education. 2 weeks turned into 2 years. Covid’s onslaught to citizens was no joke, lives had been taken, families breaking down, and many more to mention. But let’s be real here, coming to 2022, it will not change anything, COVID is still there lying around somewhere, it’s not like 2022 will end COVID immediately. Coming to this year, I didn’t expect anything to change, if somethings’ bound to change, it will be up to us to change it. 2022 is just our working buddy, guiding us through until we reach the end, and that end will be 2023. Entitled 2022, will it be different?. To be honest I didn’t know what to change other than my physical appearance, but that’s about it. I’ve been considering to change my attitude, but my attitude only changes when one individual tries to provoke me. One thing’s for certain that changed is that I got dumber, you ...
