Cleansing the World we Love
The month of September is
declared as the National Clean-Up Month by virtue of Proclamation No. 470
designates the 3rd Saturday of September, 18 September, as National Clean-Up
Day, both of which act as a campaign to encourage communities to be responsive in
cleaning and protecting the environment.
Our environment is
what houses and helps our ecosystem grow and thrive. Without protecting and taking care of our environment we're
putting so many lives at danger such as animals, plants and crops, and even our
own. All of the ecosystems that make up our environment are deeply connected
This planet that we live in is our last resort of survivability, it’s were we get out resources and overall our lives depend on it, so we must do our best to protect it in someway and somehow. By participating in this types of activities you are now contributing on protecting our environment.
Environmental protection is the practice of protecting the natural
environment by individuals, organizations and governments. Its objectives are
to conserve natural resources and the existing natural environment and, where
possible, to repair damage and reverse trends.
One of the reasons on why we should protect the environment is because of climate change, More frequent and intense drought, storms, heat waves, rising sea levels, melting glaciers and warming oceans can directly harm animals, destroy the places they live, and wreak havoc on people's livelihoods and communities. As climate change worsens, dangerous weather events are becoming more frequent or severe.
Another issue is Deforestation, the loss of trees and other vegetation can cause climate change, desertification, soil erosion, fewer crops, flooding, increased greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, and a host of problems for indigenous people. Deforestation unfortunately destroys habitats making it very difficult for animals to live. Forests are a source of food and shelter for animals and once there are no available forests to live in; they are at risk of being hunted down, dying out from starvation or not being able to live long enough to reproduce.
To sum it
all up, we need to do everything we can do to protect the land that we nurture
the most, the place we live in, the place we depend on with our lives. Getting involved
in these types activities helps a lot on improving the well being of our land.

I agree with your post on protecting our environment. I hope this post will be seen to many people so that they can be encouraged to help protect our environment.
ReplyDeleteI liked how you explained thoroughly why we need to protect our environment and the ways to protect it. I also liked what you mentioned in the last part that we need to do "everything we can" protect our environment since I strongly agree about this one.
