An Honorable Man


Any child's father is the first superhero they ever encounter. Children require an adult who can serve as a role model as they get older. The finest illustration of a superhero is father. A father devotes all of his time to his family so that he may provide for them and provide for his children's education. We observe Father's Day every year to honor this labor of love. We honor and are grateful to our father on this day.

To commemorate the father of Miss Sonora Smart Dooh, the inaugural Father's Day was observed in America on June 19, 1910. William Smart, Sanora's father, served in the Civil War. While giving birth to his sixth child, William Smart's wife passed away. After his wife died away, he raised his six children by himself. Sanora Smart, William Smart's daughter, wished to observe Father's Day on June 5 in honor of her father's passing. She thought that while everyone respected the mother's sacrifices and feelings, no one paid attention to the father's. The value of a father in life is not something that everyone recognizes. Father's Day should be observed in order to honor fathers' lives and sacrifices.


Everybody celebrates Father's Day in a different way. On this day, a lot of people go out to enjoy delicious meals. Children give their father presents on this day, as well as cards, flowers, and wishes. Every youngster expresses love and honor to his father on this day. Every civilization and society values mothers' sacrifice highly. The person who spends their entire lives working to ensure the happiness of their children and family, however, deserves to be treated with the same respect as mothers. Father's Day is observed to recognize a father's love, much like Mother's Day is observed to honor a mother.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought upon the world with challenges. Almost all countries had to shut down their economies to halt the spread of the virus and the Philippines is one of those countries who have taken strict measures by implementing the Enhanced Community Quarantine on 15 March 2020.
